Retrieving files once they have been accidentally deleted either by emptying the Windows recycle bin or directly deleting them from a connected digital media storage device such as a USB flash drive is a surprisingly simple process. All that is required is a little bit of time and a powerful data recovery utility program. But what most people do not realize is that when a file has been deleted, the information that the file was composed of remains intact and in place on their computer’s internal hard drive or any other digital storage media that was in use. Those file areas are simply marked by the computer’s operating system as available to be overwritten with new information.
